Wow, my DMs are full of requests from followers to talk about the Warung Madura phenomenon. But hold on. Before we start, here is an interesting fact about Warung Madura that everyone is talking about. If you pay attention, a Warung Madura is usually run by a husband and wife. The wife usually minds the shop from morning until late afternoon. Then the husband takes over from the afternoon until morning comes again. And here is another thing: if you shop at a Warung Madura, the shopkeeper loves being on the phone. Usually to call people from their home village or others in the same trade. From asking how they are to news from the city and from back home. Regular customers will know these quirks of Warung Madura. So the question is: what actually keeps Warung Madura so busy? We will look at five reasons why Warung Madura is always busy and sells so well. Let’s go! One: the prices are really low. How could they not be? They take only a very thin margin. Two: this one makes shoppers happy. There is no parking attendant. That is usually what shoppers dread. You park where nobody is around, and on your way out a parking attendant appears anyway. Three: the shop is arranged really neatly. Of course it is. From the colours to where every product goes, it is all thought through. What for? So that we shoppers want to buy at their shop. Four: they have a really good relationship with their suppliers. That matters a lot to get friendly prices. And last: they sell every kind of product. From snacks, cigarettes, gas and water refills to electricity tokens, and even fuel by the bottle. But don’t worry, OttoPay partners: you can compete fairly with Warung Madura. Because OttoPay provides everything traders need. Modern things like digital products, and stock delivered straight to your shop. And the prices are friendly too. So that is the advice from the shop boss. Now give the shop boss a new idea: what should we talk about next? Comment on the OttoPay account. And don’t forget to follow, like and share this video with your friends.

06 · About
I am Maria Anita, a brand and motion designer with fifteen years of experience. I studied Visual Communication Design at Bunda Mulia University in Jakarta and now live in Spain, where I work remotely.
My work has always moved between print, product and screen. I enjoy finding the visual language of an idea and then carrying it through every detail, whether that is a dieline, a book spread or a twenty second film.
