Packaging · Production design
Play begins with the box.
Toy packaging for a kitchen set, designed at real size with its cutting die, a character and a window that shows the product.
-
Challenge
The box had to catch a child’s eye on the shelf and look more premium than its price, while staying simple to print and cut.
-
Approach
I drew a little chef character, chose a bright palette with softer tones and patterns, set the box dimensions and the window area, and prepared the artwork at real size with the dieline for print.
-
Outcome
Printed on packaging board with a glossy laminate. The front has a die cut window covered with clear film to show the toy inside.
Freelance project, coordinated directly with the owner of Kaguyaplas.
